Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Smt. Lakshmi Panabaka visits Dahej Terminal

It was a moment of great honor for Petronet LNG Ltd (PLL) when the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Smt. Lakshmi Panabaka visited Dahej Terminal on 5th February 2013.

Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi assumed charge as new Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas in November 2012. Prior to her present assignment, she was Union Minister of State for Textile. Smt Lakshmi is a fourth term Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Andhra Pradesh. She was first elected to 11th Lok Sabha in 1996. Besides serving on various Parliamentary Committees, Smt Lakshmi was also Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare earlier. During her tenure as Health  Minister,  she  did  her  level  best to  improve  the health  scenario   of  Indian  people.  Her commitment and  devotion  towards  Health  Care  Systems  is laudable  and  also  concentrated  to  eradicate  health  hazards.

Dr A. K. Balyan along with other senior leaders interacted with her. Sh. Rajender Singh, Director (Technical) gave a brief Corporate presentation on Companys roles in the Indias Oil & Gas sector. Dr. A.K. Balyan briefed her about our upcoming terminals at Kochi and at Gangavaram, A.P. A Live LNG demonstration was also done in front of her.

She visited terminal & also the Ship Disha. She was glad to see how LNG unloading and the whole process of LNG storage & regasification takes place. During discussion, she congratulated Dr. Balyan, MD & CEO & his team for the companys tremendous performance. Dr. Balyan extended heartfelt thanks to Smt. Lakshmi for taking out time to visit Petronet.
