GSPC to sign deals for two LNG terminals

Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) will sign an MoU with EHHLfor an LNG terminal at Pipavav and another with Adani for a 5 mtpa terminal at Mundra port. Both MoUs will be signed tomorrow at the Vibrant Gujarat Investors Summit.The first MoU will be executed between GSPC andAdani Energy Limited for ajoint venture for setting up an LNG receiving, storage and regassification terminal at Mundra. The estimated project cost is Rs 2,500 crore. The other MoU between GSPC and EHHL will be for a 5 mmtpa capacity LNG terminal at Pipavav.

The estimated project cost is again Rs 2,500 crore. Also in line is an MoU between GSPL and the government of Gujarat for the Rs 3,691 -crore Gas Grid expansion project. The project envisages establishment of an LNG terlninal with a capacity of 5 Mf. MoUs for expansion of the piped natural gas and CNG distribution network are also to be inked. An MoU has been signed with PGNiG, a Polish oil & gas company, to collaborate in acquisition of exploration acreages and discovered oil fields. GSPC will also sign a Rs 50-crore MoU with Northstar Dri11stem Testers Ltd (NST).
